Logista spinning for Beeld Children’s Fund

On 7 September 2013 all the action was at the bay side of Centurion Mall where Logista participated in one of the biggest fundraising events for the Beeld Children’s Fund. Two Logista teams of 10 members each kick started spring with a relay spinning marathon from 7am to 5pm in 50 minute intervals. The atmosphere was alive with music and cheers from team members and the spinning instructors were inspired to reach new “mountainous” heights from all the excitement of the day. The exercise lived up to the main sponsor, Shed that Weight’s name and every spinner was quickly starved from any conversation by their increased heavy breathing. The day was also an ideal backdrop to launch the new Logista branded cycling clothing that the more regular cyclists will be wearing at future cycling events such as the Wines2Whales and Sani2C. The members wearing the clothing certainly received the looks and stares from the onlookers. It was uncertain whether it was as a result of the heavy breathing or as a result of the clothing’s professional looks…. we’d like to believe it was the latter! The Beeld Children’s Fund is a charity organization that was established in 1977. Their mission is to raise funds to help underprivileged, disabled and abused children, as well as children affected by HIV/Aids in the spheres of emergency relief, education and life enrichment. Logista is proud to again have been part of this day and we thank each Logista employee participating in the day for setting aside private time to make this contribution possible.
